Agent Interview Questions

You'll get to know me and the way I work by reading through the questions and answers below. If you are interviewing other agents, be sure to ask them these questions!

How often do you follow up with a customer that calls for information about my home?
For life, generally. I consider everyone that makes contact with me serious about wanted real estate assistance and deserving of my attention. All potential customers become a part of our information network. As far as trying to get them to see your home...if they are not ready to schedule an appointment on the spot, usually two or three phone calls will result in an appointment.

Does your marketing plan include active contacts as well as media driven methods? What are those active methods?
Yes. In fact, experience shows that more of my transactions result from active prospecting and follow through. I am on the phone a lot getting the word out about your home to active buyers, other agents, and neighbors.

One of the first things I do is contact agents that have historically been pleased to sell my listing inventory. My commitment to them is to let them know first about my new listings.

I will share the advertising plan for your home later, but what is important to know is that these are passive methods that do not result in success without an active agent behind them.

How large is your current inventory?
My homes don't stay on the market long. I find it difficult to give the level of service sellers deserve carrying a large inventory. For that reason, I am selective in the properties that I represent.

Do you utilize internet marketing in your efforts?
Extensively. This is an area that I give a lot of attention to. The connected consumer is not a segment we can ignore and expect to be successful.

Are there any other people in your office that will be assisting you in the marketing of my home?
Absolutely. We work as a team with specialists I can rely on for a variety of issues. But most importantly, our staff and agents looks to support each other so we give our listings top priority in service and follow-through.

Who takes care of my home when you are not available?
It is rare that I am not available. I am always just a cell phone call away. But in situations where I am with a customer, the office has instructions as to what team member will carry the ball. I will never lose a showing opportunity.

How are showings handled?
I will call you with as much leeway as possible. As soon as possible after the showing I will call or email you with feedback or to schedule a time to come over and review their offer!
